Anna McGrane
CEO and Co-founder
Anna McGrane is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, New York University School of Law, Peking University School of Law, and Fullstack Academy of Code. Speaking five languages, Anna practiced at the London firm of Herbert Smith Freehills in its Moscow office and with the NRDC in Beijing. She is an organizing member of the NYU Law & Tech community and the Baylor University Brain Trust. She has been featured in Legal Tech News and Lawyers Who Code, and is a Fastcase 50 honoree.
Gavin McGrane
CIO and Co-founder
An ABA Journal Legal Rebel, Class of 2014, and Fastcase 50 Honoree, Gavin McGrane is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and McGeorge School of Law. Gavin practiced for seven years, primarily focusing on complex commercial litigation. He founded PacerPro because he saw an opportunity to leverage technology and public data to help push the practice of law forward.
Dhana Bala
CTO
Dhana Bala has 17+ years of leadership experience building disparate software systems across categories such as cybersecurity, IoT, networking, and wireless technologies. Dhana's prior executive roles include CTO at Deep Sentinel, and Head of Engineering at Plume WiFi. She's held various leadership roles at companies such as Illumio, Aruba Networks, Motorola, Ruckus Wireless, and Pareto Networks. Dhana has an MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University, and holds patents in IoT, and Identity and Access management.
James Grohsgal
Director of Product
A McGill Law grad, James spent eight years as a securities litigation associate, first at Skadden and then at Orrick. While at Orrick, he oversaw data analytics projects and a global bank’s first use of predictive coding in e-discovery. At PacerPro, James acts as a bridge between our development team and law firms, with a special focus on litigation data and technology integration.

Julee has more than 20 years of experience in legal technology, consulting with law firms and Fortune 250 corporate legal teams to streamline and improve their workflows. She loves building long-term client partnerships and solving problems using technology.
Brian Tharp
Director of Design
A collaborative Design Leader who’s helped shape innovative products alongside real people for over 20 years. Brian combines design thinking, user research and experience strategy, all with a relentless focus on the user. Over the years, Brian has worked with a diverse group of product teams including Shutterfly, Intuit, EP and Move to create insight led, human-centered products.
Amanda Schmidt
Office Manager
Amanda holds a BS in Resource Management, Wildlife Emphasis and a BA in Native American Studies from UC Berkeley. Amanda started her career as an environmental educator and public information specialist, for nonprofits, city agencies, and water districts. At PacerPro, Amanda supports human resources and accounting, and assists with data projects.
Brad Roberts, CPA
Controller
A seasoned financial professional, Brad has spent much of his career in the SaaS industry. He enjoys developing the accounting, finance, and HR functions for start-ups and witnessing their growth as the company's needs evolve. Brad graduated from the University of Washington and is a licensed CPA in the State.
Chris Osborn
Staff Software Engineer
Chris Osborn is a software developer with 10 years of experience and a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Previous work experience includes Wolfram Alpha LLC, Microsoft and legal technology company DocketFish. At PacerPro, Chris’s focus is writing code to enable attorneys to receive their important documents quickly, reliably and easily.
