CEO and Co-founder
An ABA Journal Legal Rebel, Class of 2014, and Fastcase 50 Honoree, Gavin McGrane is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and McGeorge School of Law. Gavin practiced for seven years, primarily focusing on complex commercial litigation. He founded PacerPro because he saw an opportunity to leverage technology and public data to help push the practice of law forward.
COO and Co-founder
Anna McGrane is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, New York University School of Law, Peking University School of Law, and Fullstack Academy of Code. Speaking five languages, Anna practiced at the London firm of Herbert Smith Freehills in its Moscow office and with the NRDC in Beijing. She is an organizing member of the NYU Law & Tech community and the Baylor University Brain Trust. She has been featured in Legal Tech News and Lawyers Who Code, and is a Fastcase 50 honoree.
Dhana Bala has 17+ years of leadership experience building disparate software systems across categories such as cybersecurity, IoT, networking, and wireless technologies. Dhana's prior executive roles include CTO at Deep Sentinel, and Head of Engineering at Plume WiFi. She's held various leadership roles at companies such as Illumio, Aruba Networks, Motorola, Ruckus Wireless, and Pareto Networks. Dhana has an MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University, and holds patents in IoT, and Identity and Access management.
VP of Customer Success and Operations
With over 15 years of experience leading customer-facing teams, Kelly is a strategic leader and customer- centric executive focused on delivering value and leveraging customer feedback to ensure long- term relationships, driving retention and long-term expansion. Throughout her career, Kelly has developed and led global Customer Success (CS) teams that included Onboarding, Client Success Management (CSM), Technical Support, CS Engineering, and CS Operations.
Director of Product
A McGill Law grad, James spent eight years as a securities litigation associate, first at Skadden and then at Orrick. While at Orrick, he oversaw data analytics projects and a global bank’s first use of predictive coding in e-discovery. At PacerPro, James acts as a bridge between our development team and law firms, with a special focus on litigation data and technology integration.
Director of Customer Relations
A former Cravath paralegal and Lloyds Banking Group regulatory compliance officer, Aikta is a graduate of New York University School of Law and UNC Chapel Hill. At PacerPro, she focuses on customer deployments: understanding your workflow, and then mapping our product to your process.
Director of Design
A collaborative Design Leader who’s helped shape innovative products alongside real people for over 20 years. Brian combines design thinking, user research and experience strategy, all with a relentless focus on the user. Over the years, Brian has worked with a diverse group of product teams including Shutterfly, Intuit, EP and Move to create insight led, human-centered products.
Director of Marketing
A creative strategist and licensed attorney who has launched digital and marketing programs for over 20 years. Greg’s uncompromising focus on business impact is built on a philosophy of pushing beyond sales to converting the largest detractors into brand advocates. He has advised and worked with companies of all sizes from technology startups to Fortune 100 brands including Thomson Reuters and 3M.
Senior Customer Success Associate
Michelle, a former Milbank LLP paralegal specializing in complex litigation, received a BA in Public Policy & Law from Trinity College in 2018 and a minor in Data Privacy from the University of Amsterdam in 2016. While at Trinity, Michelle wrote a thesis on litigation concerning government access to encrypted devices. Michelle also interned in the information security department at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Amanda holds a BS in Resource Management, Wildlife Emphasis and a BA in Native American Studies from UC Berkeley. Amanda started her career as an environmental educator and public information specialist, and was involved in program coordination and event planning for agencies such as city government and water districts. At PacerPro, Amanda lends her research skills to various projects supporting customer success.
Staff Software Engineer
Chris Osborn is a software developer with 10 years of experience and a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Previous work experience includes Wolfram Alpha LLC, Microsoft and legal technology company DocketFish. At PacerPro, Chris’s focus is writing code to enable attorneys to receive their important documents quickly, reliably and easily.
A graduate of the University of California San Diego, Howard received his BS in Cognitive Science, specializing in Machine Learning & Neural Computation. He also studied Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction, which focuses on UI/UX frontend development. With a passion for data and design, Howard is focused on engineering products that are high in quality, scalability, and performance.
Customer Success Associate
Gabriel is a graduate of the University of Washington Bothell School of Business, where he received his BA in Business Administration, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. Previously, he acquired his Washington Real Estate License and worked in commercial property management in the Greater Seattle Area.
A graduate of San Jose State University with a BS in Computer Science, Daniel is focused on sharpening his software engineering craft and contributing to PacerPro’s mission. Daniel is a lifelong learner who engineers high-quality systems with a customer-centric mindset. Daniel is responsible for building and maintaining the rich set of features that make PacerPro unique and useful.
